BMW OBDLINK issue

I just received a new odblink scan tool , I am  not able connect to 1998 BMW also i have created a COM log while trying to get  connected

In what country was your vehicle purchased new in?

This is a us (California car) Also i have checked it two other hand held OBD II and they work fine

Are the other OBDII scanners you used generic scan tools or were they BMW scanners?

If they are generic there could be something wrong with the hardware and we can set you up with an RMA to exchange the scan tool. For an RMA please send an email to sales@scantool.net, also include a link to this thread.
