I have ordered a new OBDLink SX few days ago and waiting for delivery. Now, I like to order a ~5m long extension cable. I understand that OBDLink SX uses 3.3v from the USB port. My doubt is:

Which one is better?

(1) An active USB extension cable (that buffers/boosts the signal) like this:

OR
(2) An OBD2-J1962 Male to Female cable like this:

Thanks in advance!

I would use the active USB extension. My reason is that the repeater will be much more reliable.
