I have a diesel parking heater that I purchased and plan to install in my Spark EV to preferentially circumvent its resistive coolant heater and increase winter range.

The heater comes with a fairly rudimentary standalone controller, and there is no integration with the car besides the heat of the coolant itself and operator input.
Could an OBDLink with add-ons or the MX have the capability to read temperature and, in a script, override the heater and keep it off in a loop while my auxiliary fuel heater runs, while keeping the coolant pump on? Otherwise, it's possible the coolant temperature could exceed the climate control setpoint, and the car would try to cool the cabin or take other measures.

Thanks

This would not be possible with the OBDLink MX+ or app.

I am unsure if is possible with any OBD adapter.

I would recommend searching other online forums to see if anyone has any suggestions.
